Zirconia toughened alumina (ZTA) is a specialized alumina designed for high thermal shock resistance and increased toughness 。

 

Features:

High flexural strength, up to 2 times that of Al2O3
Higher reflectivity than Al2O3 and AlN
Good reliability with thermal shock and thermal cycling
Excellent surface quality

 

Applications:

High power module (IGBT… etc.)
Substrates for LED package
Metallization substrate for DBC, DPC process
Substrates for automotive
